FOG describes the exhibition as commemorating 100 years since the French poet, Andre Breton, published his 1924 Manifesto Surrealism: a treatise denouncing realism and rationality which became a revolutionary art movement and has been embraced worldwide, in many mediums, ever since.

2024 Salon at the Triton Museum of Art

I’m very honored and thankful to Juror Aly Gould, Executive Director of Pacific Art League, to have been juried into the 2024 Salon at the Triton Museum of Art. The Salon is more than an art exhibition, it is also a 2D art competition showcasing artwork by over 100 California artists in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and mixed media. My woodblock monoprint “The Tempest” is included in the printmaking exhibition and competition.

Please join me at the Opening Reception on Saturday, May 25th, from 2-4pm. Salon at the Triton runs from May 25th through September 8th, 2024.

Printmakers from throughout Cuba and internationally invited guest artists are featured in Feria de la Estampa. This annual event includes individual and group exhibitions, lectures and workshops on the art of printmaking. Exhibitions and events are held at numerous galleries in the heart of Cienfuegos. I'm very excited to return to Cuba and extremely honored by the invitation to participate in Feria de la Estampa. My artwork “Erosion & Reformation, Pieces & Patterns I” is included in the group exhibition in la Sala de Exposiciones Museo Provincial, opening April 16, 2024. Feria de la Estampa events are April 15-18, 2024 and the exhibitions run through May 3, 2024.

I’m very excited to be exhibiting artwork from my Boundary Oak Series for the month of December at San Francisco Women Artists Salon Gallery. The exhibition will include some of my latest artwork including “In the Moment” Boundary Oak monoprint clocks (working clocks with minute and second hands only). All artwork in the Boundary Oak series includes wood/ash/leaves from the magnificent 325-year-old tree that was tragically destroyed in an intense windstorm. This ongoing, evolving and growing series gives new life to the Boundary Oak tree in another time, form and place.

I’m very honored that the Walnut Creek Arts Commission has selected my Boundary Oak series for a solo exhibition at the Community Art Gallery.

The series consists of woodblock, woodblock-monoprints, and mixed media printmaking pieces created to celebrate, honor, memorialize and give new life to the historic 325-year-old Boundary Oak tree that was tragically destroyed during an intense windstorm.

The exhibition runs from September 7, 2022 - January 6, 2023. The Community Art Gallery is located inside the Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N. Broadway, Walnut Creek, CA and is open Monday through Saturday.

In 1950, Alice Neel proclaimed "For me, people come first. I have tried to assert the dignity and eternal importance of the human being". In connection with the de Young Museum's phenomenal first comprehensive West Coast retrospective of Alice Neel's work, the de Young invited artists to submit PICTURES OF PEOPLE for their online Web Gallery and selected images of these artworks will also be digitally displayed in the Museum.
