de Young Museum Presents: PICTURES OF PEOPLE

In 1950, Alice Neel proclaimed "For me, people come first. I have tried to assert the dignity and eternal importance of the human being". In connection with the de Young Museum's phenomenal first comprehensive West Coast retrospective of Alice Neel's work, the de Young invited artists to submit PICTURES OF PEOPLE for their online Web Gallery and selected images of these artworks will also be digitally displayed in the Museum. I'm extremely honored that "Sissy, Not Mummy" has been included in the de Young Museum's Web Gallery for this artist call. Click here to see "Sissy, Not Mummy" and here for all artists. The Alice Neel exhibition runs through July 10th. More information, including tickets, can be found at the de Young Museum.
